Week 4 assignment was the reason I didn't finish this course, even though I am actually a data scientist already. The task was too much focused on manual curation and googling of irrelevant information (sports teams). I'm not from the US and found this task ridiculously boring, irrelevant and frustrating.

submitting the assignments with the autograding is extremely frustrating

pretty tough even though i've been playing with Pandas in the past. But learnt many new techniques. assignments are challenging. It takes more time than what is written. I spent between 16 to 24h on each assignement...!

Para os amigos brasileiros, a semana 3 e 4 é bem difíceis. O curso aborda demais o Pandas, no entanto pra mim só alguns pontos foram úteis, pois não mexo tanto com data frame. Mas é sempre bom saber que existe. O professor é maneiro dá bastante exemplo, porém muitos exemplos não casam com algumas partes das atividades, as vezes você precisa ver a documentação e tals. Mas faz parte.

Very interesting course to guide you through from the basics of pandas. Teaching staff is of great help throughout the learning process, with speedy replies.

excellent course!

This course is not very well structured. A lot of the things that are on the assignments/quizzes are relegated to readings in the books and never discussed in the videos. The book readings are overwhelming for a week worth and require at least 2 times more to finish than what is suggested in the course. That is assuming you want to run the code in the book and not just do a hacky job of just reading it and not understanding the code. The instructor is fine and does well enough but the structure of this course needs to be reevaluated and the time allotment needs to be made by someone actually doing those readings/assignments and not just an idealized number that they expect unreasonably from their students. There are better courses to start with your data science journey and this isn't the one to go to, in my opinion.

The faculty teaching this is excellent. All the concepts were crisp and clear.
