This was a wonderful introduction to Python. I am grateful to Dr. Chuck, the University of Michigan, and Coursera for making it available. I was especially delighted to learn about Regular Expressions, Networked Programs, Using Web Services (parsing XML and JSON), and Databases. The course made these topics accessible to me. With my new knowledge, I intend to study them more deeply and develop a better understanding. Which brings me to the reason I didn't rate the course a 5: I found Dr. Chuck's code walkthroughs frustrating. They felt rushed and sloppy with a lot of hand-waving. This is not good teaching, especially for beginners. Nevertheless, I am glad I took the course and recommend it to others who are interested in learning Python.
