great experience with great teacher Mr.Severence
this course is suitable for someone who has no idea what programming is. for someone who has a background in programming, it looks TOO EASY. But overall it was a fun and really good course. I'm sure the remaining courses in this series would be perfect as well.
Course was cool. Glad i took screenshots of everything. I want to remember some of this stuff but i'm not there yet. I need more reps.
great course
The instructor and the course materials are so informative.
nice
The lecturer is a very loveable character and you find out very early on that he's great at teaching. He simplifies complex constructs and gives you the tools to explain what you learned. However, coming from a linguistics background, I felt very frequently that I needed to learn more math and logic and read up on the culture around coding in general. So I think it's an exaggeration to say this course requires no prior knowledge because it absolutely does.
Some assignments expect you to figure out how to put together the things you learned, without showing how to do it. That, I struggled with. A lot. I researched to learn how to do the combining. (Maybe that is what the course wants you to do, though: all coders I know told me that research is a part of coding.) Coping with the stress is something you'll have to learn to keep going because there will be times you understand absolutely nothing and feel bad about your intelligence.
Ultimately, it is a good course. I learned a lot and I started out knowing nothing. It is challenging and that's great - it made me want to figure things out myself and when I succeeded it was satisfying. I will continue and try to finish the specialization.
it was great achievement for my goals . thanks giving such understandable courses
