Ratings and Reviews for Python Project: Software Engineering and Image Manipulation

I was really worried reading some of the very negative reviews here, but the course was really good. You learn some actually great stuff here with a lot of real world applications! A lot of the issues earlier posts brought up have been adressed (for example whenever the tutor talks about code, it is actually shown now in the video) It is true, the graded assignments are a lot harder here than in the previous 4 courses, but if you follow along the course material and have a good understanding of what is happening it shouldnt be too hard. Additionally there is a lot of good advice on the forums, so dont be alarmed. I dont give 5 stars because the computation time for the final project was a bit too long. Why did it have to be 13 newspaper images? Wouldnt 3 or 4 not be enough? Also after halving the size of the images I still got good results, so why not make it less pages with less size, so computation isnt that slow? Anyway its still manageable and not nearly as bad as other people here make it out to be

Not bad. I think it could be more practical rather than only reading from a prepared lecture. Overall, it was helpful.

Very disappointed with this specialization. The virtual jupyter notebook is very slow. It take 20 minutes whenever I want to test my code.

It has been a pleasure to go over the python courses. There was some fresh idea about the 'pythonic' style which is bit different to C# coding. Thanks!

Too hard for beginner, I think the course need more optional lab that could make people acquainted with the library and function. So I think people shouldn't bought this course, just audit the course, the lab is the same as in video and the project you can find on google( in github or some other platform)

Probably the worst online course I've ever taken. The 5 star reviews must be fake. This course is absolutely awful, learn nothing, instructor is confusing at best, the jupyter notebook can't support the file size for the project. I hope they do what is right and remove this course from the specialization. Don't waste your time taking this course.
