The course provided an overview of databases and SQL and how Python can be used in relation to them. One gets an introduction to techniques of data science. There was not a lot of programming in this class. Most of the exercises/problems consisted of making small modifications to sample code. Dr. Chuck is a knowledgeable, effective, and entertaining instructor.
I need this knowledge and skills to do my job. Therefore I would say the course really helps me to work more efficiently.
A great course that taught me how to connect my python programming skills acquired in previous courses to database systems. Dr Chuck gives us just what we need to get the job done and enough foundational knowledge that we can self learn the more nuanced parts.
Awesome class. I learnt a lot from it. Database has always fascinated me and this was a great first step into learning how they work. The Teaching Asst was fantastic when I had difficulties with a couple projects. I would definitely recommend taking this course and the others by Charles Severance. He is a great instructor.

content of SQL is straightforward and clear, very useful. Information relating to API especially week 5 is not clear enough and more like a copy and paste work. TAs for this course ae very helpful in explaining with examples and patience!
