I don’t think peer scoring is a good option here. For example, in programming tasks, some assume that “no success message = an error,” even if the program runs correctly. Many students don’t fully understand the rubric or technical requirements, so their evaluations vary widely. Students from different technical or cultural backgrounds might evaluate similar work differently. When grades affect final marks or scholarships, reliable instructor or TA evaluation is necessary.
