This course had depth and thought. Other courses I have taken on Coursera have been too easy with quizzes that either did not require reading the material, or were error-ridden. You had to pay attention to pass the quizzes (which I did), and if you missed a question, it was obvious that "Yeah, that was covered - I should have gotten that". I wanted to be conversant in the discussions, even though I had no actual back-and-forth dialogue with my classmates. In general, the reading links here did not have paywalls, another issue I've had with other courses on Coursera. But mostly, it was obvious that the instructor had put time and energy into the material. The examples cited were good diverse and fits.

Good
It seems as though the “professor” just wants to sell his books on Amazon. The content itself is rather weak. At least, that's how I feel as a professional editor.
This course is great and very useful.
شكرا
Too many irrelevant quotes taught and used in quizzes. Too much useless information and self praise. Centered on everything but English.
I am happy with this course
I learned a lot I never knew about!
This course helped me with my writing skills in word choice and word order organization.
