This could be an excellend course, but there are some major errors in the assignments that cause students to fail even when the code works perfectly. The problem seems to have something to do with file pathways in the online environment that the course uses. Unfortunately, the instructors show little interest in solving this problem, and I have wasted countless hours resubmitting assignments in an attempt to get the autograder to work. Bottom line- this course is not a good use of your time!

It lives up to the title and more. Only minus, some of the problems could have been better explained.
Also, make sure you take an intro into python and pandas, even if you are a beginner or a part-time/hobby programmer.
The course is really good organized and mostly interactive with pop-up-questions and assignments. It gave me great insights to pandas, regex, numpy, merging datframes, etc.
Quick, but very rich course, with several optional elements, that I strongly advice to take/read in parallel (I used the good, old archive.org free library to find & borrow all necesary books). Sympatethic & friendly lead teacher, with excellent language & speaking skills. Supportive forum moderators and a lot of information to be found there. Some minor glitches (as in all Coursera courses), the exams are not so easy to take and the programming assignments reauire focus & diligence - but hey, we are supposed to learn and learn everything, in order to be ready to dig in all kinds of data, so... nobody said it will be cookies and candy ;-) And, after all, the assignments seem easy now, once you got the knowledge, haha ;-) Looking forward to continuing the excellent courses from UMSI (UMich.edu School of Information). Cheers & thanks!
tres cool
Really this course is amazing and lots of stuff given.Thank you
An excellent course offered by the university of michigan which provides the basic knowledge required for starting career in data science and the concepts explianing by the proffesors were profound.
seriousely this course is awesome! I'm be part of this course as a student and i wish to dive more. My gratitude goes to the entire instructors. Thank you
Excellent course! It is demanding, as you need enough time to read the complementary material (book by Wes McKinney) and for the assignments. The videos of the instructor typing in the markdown cells as closed caption is not very didactic. Although what he says is absolutely relevant. The assignments are challenging and requires more time than what Coursera suggests (about 3h / assignment).
Great course, but expect to really work. The assignments force you to get a good grasp of the material.
